Steel shooting is for all ages and abilities. Done in a relaxed competitive atmosphere.
The shoots are on the 4th Sunday of the month except October when we have the grand finale Airplane Creek Shoot.
We have 5 stages each stage having 5 targets ,you shoot each stage 5 times.
Each time you shoot you are timed the times are added together then averaged to give a score.
The targets are set between 10 M and 20 M and are 10 inch or 12 inch discs.
We hold two shoots on the day AM shoot with sign up at 0830 and PM shoot with sign up at 1230.
You can shoot either AM or PM or make a day of it and shoot both.
Cost is $20 per session or $30 for all day (what a deal!)
You should probably bring 250 rounds per session, you should take some home.
You may shoot pistol, revolver, 22 rifle or pistol calibre carbine .
You should have at least three magazines (6 is ideal).
If you wish you can shoot the same firearm twice or a different firearm in the AM and PM.
You may not shoot any rifle calibre firearms, heavy magnums, steel jacketed or steel core or wildcat ammunition. If you are unsure contact me.
Eye protection and hearing protection are mandatory.
All shooting starts from the low ready at a bench.
